2020 Frequently Asked Questions:

Why not postpone instead of cancel?

Unfortunately, postponing is not an option. There are many factors that go into planning this event including, but not limited to, availability of facilities and feasibility of scheduling. Additionally, there is still uncertainty regarding the progression of COVID-19, which makes solidifying an alternate date impossible at this time.

If we are not having an in-person convention, why aren’t churches receiving refunds?

An event of this magnitude requires many expenses that are non-refundable to GPLTC, including facility fees, liability insurance, supplies, etc. In order to maintain the financial stability and future of this organization, refunds cannot be issued.

In addition, many participants have already participated in pre-convention events and all participants will still have the opportunity to complete convention events in a non-traditional manner.

What about medals, plaques, T-shirts, etc.?

Participants will still receive medals, plaques and T-shirts. This cost is included in the registration fees that have already been paid. Medals, plaques and T-shirts will be delivered in-person to each congregation.

Will scholarships still be awarded?

LTC scholarships will still be awarded. Recipients will be notified directly and recognized on GPLTC social media.
